I have read in various different sites that this game supports Dolby Digital. How?

I am using optical out from my integrated soundcard out to my receiver and no dice. I know that optical can only fit 2 channels of uncompressed sound but I thought that maybe this game might be using a software version of Dolby Digital Live.

Does anyone know anything about this?
