BF 1942 DC mod question

I know there is a hit indicator when sniping. The problem is that I don't see it. Is this an option that I need to set up?
I know this is a Dumb@ss noob question, but that's because I'm a dumb@ss.

The hit indicator is the same no matter what weapon you are using. Your crosshairs will change if you hit someone.
The top half (and the bottom, I just couldn't get that to look right) should change from:

_ | _

To:
_\|/_

for a second.

Ike, are you playing on your own server or are you joining a server. I've never found a server with that option turned off. I honestly don't know why any admin would turn it off.

I play different servers.
Somehow I've never noticed the crosshairs changing (been playing for a while now). I should be more obeservant I guess.
Anyways, thanks guys. I'll check this out tonight after I get home.
