Beyond TV volume issues

I asked this on the beyond tv forums also, but haven't gotten a response and thought I would try my luck here.

I am using Beyond TV to record shows. The line in on the system is too loud and causes the recordings to sound bad unless I move it down to about 50%. However, every time BTV opens or closes the volume resets to 100% Anyone know how to stop this, or as a last resort, maybe a program that keeps an eye on that and changes it back to 50 whenever another program moves it?
