beware of very poor company ratings

This is one bad apple to deal with, i have tried to purchase AMD 1.3ghz cpu and have already given them permission to ship without insurance but they wait like 5 days! before emailing me and harass me with proof of identity, credit card, social security number and have it all fax to them! I was suspicious, I said plz can cancel it as i have changed my mind.
also, here's another one and I am suspicious as well. accubyte
since I do alot of shopping online, I think twice about making purchase from company I never dealt with.

i would be VERY concerned with that company... if they want your credit card and social security, they might be trying to steal from you...

Why limit yourself to only neweggs, when there are many other merchants to buy from that are equally good and may sell for even less! if they have what I need then i would likely to buy from but sometime can be troubling if you have never made purchase from this company before and there are some that are out to get your $$$ w/poor service/slow shipping/defective product and make you foot the bill.

I'm willing to pay a few extra dollars to know that I got a reliable product from a company with good support.

It's a jungle out there... I used to buy from Accubyte, but not any more. The best I have used lately are Newegg, googlegear, TCWO, Krex and Directron.

Reseller rating and BizRate are fantastic resources for the online consumer. ALWAYS check them out before shopping.

I feel sorry for those people that posted in the comments area, sounds like some real crooks over there.

Pay a few more bucks at newegg (not that they are expensive) and you will get what you want with great service.
