Between the following boards, are they BARTON compatible?

looking to put a 2500+ in an MSI K7N2G-ILSR, ASUS-K7N8X-Deluxe, Soltek SL-75FRN-RL, ABIT NF7-S, or EPoX 8RDA+, all say they are Thoroughbred and Palomino compatible, but make no mention of BARTON. Is a BIOS upgrade going to be necessary to deal with the additional cache? Or is it just that the documentation for the boards came out before the BARTON was introduced?

If anyone is running a BARTON in one of these boards, what has been your experience. Want to run the NForce2 Dual Channel DDR 2-256 sticks w/ synchronized 333 CPU and FSB clocks.

Any advice is appreciated.

I do believe that all Nforce2 boards will accept a Barton, although Im not 100% sure.

If in doubt, email the manufacturers. EPoX are generally fast at replying (for me at least)

The Abit and Epox are Barton compatible. Do you mean A7N8X delux on the Asus? Cause that one is too. As for MSI and Soltek, they should be. If anything they might need a BIOS update but even that I doubt.

Yeah, A7N8X, it's a little like alphabet soup right about now as I've been hashing out the various advantages and disadvantages of all the diff. boards. Thanks for your input.
