Better UT framerates than Q3?

Im quite perplexed. Every hardware review i see that has ut and q3 framerate tests, the q3 is marginally higher. However, when i run the q3 timedemo, at the lowest setting at 640X480, i still only get 67fps max, as opposed to the test anandtech did with the geforce2mx of 117 on an athlon 750. However, when i run the ut demo, i get upwards to 89fps on the higest details, 16 bit color, 640X480. Whats the deal? On the vid card tests, they use a athlon 750 and a geforce2mx. I basically have the same thing, or am i configuring my whole system wrong? if i am, can anyone help me? I have a 1ghz thunderbird (oc'd to 1.22), evga geforce2mx 32mb, msi x7t pro2-A, 256mb ram (generic), ibm deskstar 30gb. Also, i get nowhere near what they test with my mobo. Anyone have similar results?

did you turn off v-sync and AA?

I was thinking taht could be a possibility (the aa) but i wasnt sure how much it would affect the fps. Ill turn it off thanks! Oh yea, i dont know what vsync is.

Nevermind, i turned of the vsync, but that didnt have any effect, but the aa did. I turned it off and at these settings:
640X480
color depth 16bit
vertex lighting
low detail
tex detail low
tex quality = default
and tex filter bilinear

and i got 132 fps. Thanks alot mitaiwan!
