Better to slightly overvolt PSU rails?

I got a Powerstream 420 today and was wondering where exactly to leave the volts upon adjusting them. I use a digital multimeter to measure the output. Right now I have the 12V at 12.06 and 5V at 5.05. Would you raise them any further?

Thanks

Overvolting the rails isn't really any better then undervolting the rails, both can be problematic.
Ideally you'd want your rails at 12.00V and 5.00V.

That said, your rails are perfectly fine as is so i wouldn't bother changing altering them at all.

So can ya fill me in on how to adjust the rails? My 12V is about 12.53 on boot and I don't know what it is in Windows. Would it be worth it to modify it?

Cancer: The only reasonable way to adjust tehm is on a PSU with adjustable rails in teh form of small potentiometers on one ot the sides. Beyond that it woudl involve voiding your waranty and potentially killing your PSU if you don't knwo EXACTLY what yoru doing.

Besides HDD's and flash rom, undervoltage will cause little or no damage to a system like overvoltage will (burnout). Undervoltage will cause system instability and data coruption, but little or no physical damage to the chips.
