better than 6600GT PCIe?

That's 50% more than a 6600GT, so to me, a lot more. Unfortunately have not discovered the fountain of $100 bills yet. 😉

is it worth $100?

nope, MAYBE if you unlock the pipes and overclock it to near GT speeds.

This is a common misconception, but the PCIE 6800NUs only have 12 pipes and do not unlock. They are nV41, not nV40 GPUS.

oh my mistake, you are right. i forgot
so no, dont get the 6800nu then..
the PCIe 6800GTs are way overpriced, dont even consider them
get the 6600Gt and SLI it maybe if you have the money later 😉

There are two refurb 6800NUs in stock at newegg now for $260, and $270, which is much more reasonable, but refurb roulette.
