"Better Tasting" Doritos?

Has anyone else tried these "better tasting" Nacho Cheesier Doritos? Recently I went to the store, and all they had were these "Now BETTER Tasting" kind, so I grabbed a bag. I tried one when I got home, and threw the rest out. Personally, I think they are disgusting, but your tastes may vary. They taste just like four-cheese, which I despise. I ended up calling Frito-Lay's help line and told them "Thanks for ruining my last favorite kind of Dorito by making them 'better tasting!'", all the guy said was "can I get your address so we can get you a coupon for replacement?"....gah. Anyway, we ended up running out to a different store, and got the last two bags of the old-style doritos. They will be cherished.

i only like plain doritos, but i haven't seen them for awhile so i guess they stopped making them.

haven't tried them ... i try not to buy chips because once i start munchin', i usually don't stop until the bag is half gone.

usually the original flavors are the best. After all these "tweaks and improvemnts" they suck.

Anybody remember the Lay's Devil Hot Potato chips? Those were awesome, but too spicy for the average american consumer 🙁 and thus discontinued

"Better tasting" means they did consumer testing and the new product was more preferred by more people than the old formula.

Does anyone remember "New Coke"?

I tried some yesterday and I liked them. I hope they keep those pepper jack doritos around. Those are very good.

I remember how much I used to love nacho cheese and cool ranch. Since they came out with "Nacho Cheesier" and "Cooler Rance" I haven't been as inclined to buy them.

Funny story. I went to a Phish Concert in the summer of 2003 in SLC, Utah. Right next to the parking lot of the outdoor concert was a doritos factory. The wind was blowing away from the concert toward the doritos factory, but I thought it'd be funny to see a stampede from the stoners if the wind had shifted. 😉
