I have a Epox 8k3a mobo and if i run the fsb@ 142(multiple 12,5) in asyncron mode I get about 250 points better result in 3dmark then 168/168(multiple 10,5). The cpu is only 9mhz faster, and i thought the nice high syncronus 168 bus would smoke the 142/175 setting. any ideas are welcome.
Ps I changed motherboard from Abit Kg7 and just reinstalled windows and drivers, I did not reformat so maybe somethings not running as fast as it supposed to ( my 3dmark2001. (not se)@1024/768/32 scores are about 9000) the old mobo with amd 761 chipset gave me 8500 with 142 fsb. to little different for my taste. Is 9000 normal for this setup?
- athlonXP 2000 unlocked(not all dividers)

- CORSAIR 256MB DDR XMS 2700
- Hercules G3 ti500 Det 23.11@ 260/560
- 3com ethernetcard
- soundblaster audigy,
-Win ME
- aircooled and completly silent.
