Better Ping Response in CoD2

Hello All,

I have a question about ping responses and various servers in CoD2. My ping responses seem to range betwen the low 40s all the way up to 150+ (I have read that this is due to the distance between me and the server). I do notice with some killcams that when I am in close combat, the other players sees me and fires at me way before I get a shot off - if I do get a shot off. From my standpoint (in real time), I see the other player and fire at him but I get killed.

Is this because the other player has a lower ping response time?

most likely

i doubt there is much you can do to help your ping other than to find a server that is physically close to you.
