Better Picture Quality Mod for GeForce2 GTS

i just ordered a visiontek 64mb geforce2 gts card from the forums, which i'm expecting in a week. i hear the geforce2 cards have less than ideal 2D image quality, which you can bypass with the following hack. has anyone tried this, would it be easy enough for me to do and risk? is it worth it? i have a KDS-195TF and would like the best image quality possible, but don't want to kill my $200 card either.

off topic from the thread: i went to visiontek's site and it seems they don't make any GTS cards that aren't PRO (5ns memory chips), did they make them before? if anyone has one i'd like to know (would like to know if my incoming card is a PRO or just a GTS )

I did that filter mod(along with the Quadro 2 Pro mod) to my 32mb Elsa Gladiac Geforce 2 GTS card(before I changed to an AIW Radeon). The filter mod is pretty easy and shouldn't take that long to complete.
