Ive heard alot of hype about the 2.4c sl6z3. Has anyone here had and tried both?? And if so what are the differences in performance?? Have you gotten better overclocks overall with the newer chip??

Nothing is guaranteed, but my personal experience is:

First 2.4c: Couldnt get above 3.1ghz (3.1ghz at 1.65v)
Second 2.4c: Couldn't get above 3.2ghz (3.2ghz at 1.58v)

New sl6z3: Currently at 3.4ghz at 1.52v.

Edit: Corrected some numbers, all of the above is Prime95 stable, btw

From what I've read, chances are the newer SL6Z3 should be better. You could always get an incredible D1 though.

No, you'll know when you get the box. It will say SL6Z3 at the end of the Prod. Code section.

They still have the SL6Z3 chips. I ordered mine today. They have a pretty large inventory of the SL6Z3 chips I was told today by Dave. Call zipzoomfly, contact Dave at extension #2201 and he will take care of you to get a SL6Z3 version. He was the most friendliest and helpful customer rep I have ever talked with from any online retailer...though a lady named Carol from ABIT RMA comes in at a close second.
Take care.

For what it is worth-I got one of the 2.4c "mo" steppings from ZZF last week and it will not run above 245MHZ. I wish I would have kept my old 1.8a that ran at 2.53ghz without breaking a sweat.

I purchased a 2.4c MO stepping from Newegg and to me they are no better then the rest, it is mostly a gamble on how high they will clock.
I did purchase a new retail box 2.4c here in the forsale forums last week for a computer upgrade and almost didn't bother testing it in my IS7 box. I decided to and it is currently running at 3.48 ghz (290 fsb) at 1.5v default voltage. The Mo stepping would only do 3.24 at 1.5v, this is a D1 SL6WR stepping.
