We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The external enclosure plus internal hard drive probably costs more, but I'd guess would be more flexible. The all-in-one should be easier to get up & going. What do you think?
Most external HD's only come with a 1 year warranty while virtually all internal drives carry either 3 or 5 years & the price of the internal models with the enclosure is usually pretty close. The only real disadvantage it going the DIY route is that most enclosures seem to only support USB 2.0 or Firewire with ESATA still being a bit on the rare side.
