so the IBM does NOT work at all with win2k/xp?? i didn't see any software update on the site.

2K and XP (pro) don't need this so much as 98/ME. 2K and XP have secure logins, and 2K & XP-Pro come with have file encryption. Definitely a good reason to go with XP Pro for laptops, when you have confidential information stored on them.
