Better image...24" or 25.5"

Hi,

I'm in search of a new monitor. Here's the question I have for you all.

If EVERYTHING ELSE BEING EQUAL, what size monitor will have a better display for the user? A 24" monitor or a 25.5" monitor.

In other words, I'm trying to figure out if a larger screen actually produces a clearer crisper image than a smaller screen if everything else is the same.

Thanks.

So would that mean that a smaller dot pitch would provide a sharper more detailed picture than a larger dot pitch? Would a smaller dot pitch have a LESS fuzzy image?

Correct.

Lower pixel pitch = sharper crisper image.

Granted, if you don't have great eyes, it can mean you might need to up font size a bit though for comfortable reading.

Thanks. I've been contemplating about whether to go with a 24" or 25.5 inch monitor. Any thoughts or personal recommendations?

If the monitors have the same resolution, then both will be displaying exactly the same amount of detail. It's just that the pixels on one will be smaller. That is all that a smaller dot pitch means.

All else being equal, the larger monitor may be easier on the eyes simply because objects displayed on it are physically larger.

I cannot answer whether something is "sharper", "clearer", or "less fuzzy" because those are all fundamentally subjective terms and should not be noticeably impacted by such a relatively small change in monitor size unless some other factor varies.

Honestly, you should just go to a store with display models and see for yourself.

This is the key. We can't tell you which monitor you will prefer. As some have said, with resolution being equal, the pixels on a 24" monitor will be smaller. This may give a tighter appearance to the picture. However, the detail level will be the same in both.
