Better ib cooling

On my single loop with just a cpu,rad and single D5@12v would I get any better cooling or head pressure by using 2-D5 pumps on 24v compered to a single pump.

Swiftech MCR320-XP push pull with 6-110cfm fans 3 gutted fans used as spacers with bottom fans.
Apogee xt rev2 with old single bay res.

Yes, you would get better pressure, but that would not necessarily reflect in significantly better temps. Flow rate vs temps follows a pretty harsh diminishing returns scale. Once there is "enough" flow rate, the additional flow rate does little, if any to improve temps.

A D5@12v is plenty for a cpu, block, and a rad.

Don't forget the extra heat load the second pump adds to the loop. While it may be only 24W, every little bit hurts, esp. with a single rad.

Even at 3x Rads, 2 MB blocks, 1 CPU block, 2 GPU blocks and all that tubing to cover a massive case I am on the verge of needing a second DDC+ pump.

You will not benefit from a second pump, its quite likely to have a detriment due to the heat dump into the loop of the additional pump. If its for redundancy then I guess there is value but you do need to mitigate the heat.
