Better fans for Lian Li PC65B?

I have the old Lian Li PC65B, sporting 2 80mm fans in front, 1 80mm exhaust in back and an 80mm exhaust at the top. I have a Zalman cooling my A64 3000+ with an evga 7900gt. My temperatures seem to be higher than normal according to the ASUS temp diagnostic tool that came with my A8N-SLi Deluxe mobo. Sorry I am not home right now but if I remember correctly I am hitting about 37-42C in idle and about 43-50C load.

I am curious if I can replace some of those fans with ones that will cool better or am I better off getting a new case since I am planning to upgrade to a Core 2 in the next couple of months?

I thought it was a great case when I bought it, solid construction, great look but the cooling seems to be insufficient.

Thanks

I have the same case and replaced all the fans with Antec 80mm 2500rpm fans. To remove the fans you need a pointed tool to push out the anchor plugs. The anchor plugs are reusable and will fit any standard case fan.

I went ahead and picked This for an exhaust fan and two of these for intake. I know it is better to move more air out so hopefully the slower speed of the two will balance out a faster speed of the other one.

I know I asked this before but I never got a straight answer. Phile, since you have the same case maybe you can help me out. I live in LA and my apartment gets very hot in the summer. Is it better to leave the side window panel on or off? In a couple tests I have learned that sometimes having the window off shows a degree or two cooler.

Just wondering in general if it is better to leave the doors on so the fans work?

Thanks!

I would replace top exhaust with a 120mm YL.
Add a card exhaust fan if you have a spare pci slot open.
Replace the two front with 80mm Yate Loons. Total costs about $20.

Intels run about 55-62C so that not unusual.
Amds run 7C cooler with that new setup.

a friend just put one of those silverstone fm82 as his exhaust in his pc61( same as your but minus the plexieglass door) and had to install it with the motherboard tray in the case. And now due to the size, of the fan, he cannot remove his mobo tray without removing the fan first. Food for thought.

this should fit just fine in the back exhaust.

But those fans along with the fm82 you had, are loud as hell. My case is not quite but those fans sould like a hairdryer.
