better earbud headphones

ok then. i really need some earbud headphones for my ipod, but the apple ones are so incredibly uncomfortable. im hearing some great things about the shure e2c, but im probably not enough of an audiophile to really appreciate the difference in sound. i think im looking for comfort, instead of sound quality only (although thats definitely really important). how are the apple in-ears, the $45 or whatever upgrade ones?

thanks. im really looking for something in the $50 or so maximum price range, but if theres something thats just perfect, id be willing to go up to $100.
