Better choice for P4 overclocking system?

lung

Senior member
I have basically come down to two different choices for my new P4 system. I plan on overclocking pretty much well as much as possible without venturing into the realm of water cooling, and am wondering which would be a better choice:

System 1:
Asus P4S533
P4 1.6A
512MB Samsung DDR333

System 2:
Asus P4T-E
P4 1.6A
2 x 256MB Rimm

Any suggestions? Thanks.

i suggest the i845D or E route for a 1.6A.
Epox or Asus moboard.

if you really want to run the SiS645 or i850 - get a 1.8A insted.

just my 2 cents 😉

Go with RDRAM, and see if you can't pick up some of the Samsung PC1066 that's starting to appear on Pricewatch. P4T-E vs. TH7II is an ongoing dilemma, I recommend the TH7II, but like Jumpem said, I'm biased (I have a TH7II-RAID).
