Better Case For OC? Lian Li PC60 Or Antec SX1030?

I'm not really into OC yet, but if I do get into it, I'd like a case that would be good for OC. I've heard that the Lian Li isn't the best case in the world for OC from one of the review sites.

sx1030 has room for 4 fans, the lian li has room for 3. aluminum will dissipate heat better, but the case costs about twice as much as a sx1030.

I would go Antec too.
Have you seen the metal case with beige drives in it, kind of ugly.
With the money you saved you can get top of the line cooling and then have money left over for a better PS, if you need more than the 300watt standard.

Actually I think the aluminum with beige drives looks better than different shades of beige. The SX1030 is a full tower and has more room for fans and has better ventilation. But for a mid tower the PC60 is great. I think it just depends on if you want a full tower of mid tower. I'd personally get another Lian Li, and that is coming from an owner of both cases. The only bad thing about the Antec is its lack of a slide out MB tray, if that is important to you.

I'd get the sx1030, and put the money towards a water cooling kit.😉

nahhh, think about this:

get the Antec, and spend the extra $$$ on a better CPU (1.4Ghz Athlon soon)...u get better performance w/o the hardwork. 😀

I believe it is a fact that the aluminum does NOT make a damn difference in the cooling, it's ONLY for cosmetics and weight.. Don't let anyone fool you telling you it has good cooling, it's got satisfactory cooling.. nothing special. This comes from a guy named Stilter from hardocp/forums who has a lot of experience with aluminum (he does anodizing for the community and he's workin on a case also..).. So uh.. yeah. 🙂

Get an Antec 1240 if you have the funds for the Lian Li and you don't mind moving a large case. Internal volume is important as well as air flow and that 400 watt power supply would give you some options.
Otherwise, I would get the 830 instead of the 1030. I think the 830 and the 1030 would more properly be called mid-towers.
