Yikes, that sucks. The whole thing of putting houses on stilts like that seems so sketch to me though. They don't even have X members, it just looks so unstable even when done right. I'll stick to the high ground. :p

I hope they had insurance. Living on stilts in the winter stinks. Trying to keep a house warm with cold all around it is tough even with the best insulation, but I guess it does beat getting flooded every decade.

Well it's obvious where they screwed up! They didn't have the guy standing under the house pointing and yelling, duh.

my impression was that the stilts were only temporary while they repaired stuff, then they were going to lower it back down

I hope they had insurance.

I hope the contractor had insurance, the home owner shouldn't have to mess with that
