unsure if it is more respected than UIUC's but i do know that it is respected in Indianapolis. Many people from chicago that i know went to IU because they considered it a better school. Personally, I didn't. i went to Butler University instead but if i could go back i would go to IU and get my masters in public accounting instead of just filling up the 150 credit hour requirement that is needed to take the CPA. i'm sure both would schools are good, but since you are going into trading try and make sure that you get at least one internship in chicago with a firm. you will get more experience in chi-town.

i'd lean toward IU to be honest. i've heard good things about the business school. did you apply at northwestern?

Bloomington sucks. Once you get past the "I want to drink at fraternity parties every day" phase it really isn't the best atmpsphere for quality entertainment. It is a good school, but I would look elsewhere. I went to college in indianapolis and now i am in law school in san francisco, but i did visit my friends many times at iu....i remember when knight was fired...people were walking around acting like it was their grandmother who died, when in reality they should have fired the bastard 20 years ago....
