Better Bang for buck is GTX 670 or GTX 660 TI ?

sorry for reopen new topic but i think it's a simple question ....


all we know that gtx 670 was better bang for buck then gtx 680 .... but what about gtx 660 TI and GTX 670 ?

waht a card has better price/performance ? and is better bang for buck ?

How many GTX600 threads to you have to start to help you decide?

If you can't easily decide between GTX670 and 660Ti based on benchmarks for the games you play, just go with GTX660Ti because clearly you aren't seeing any value in the 670. If the $80-100 extra for 670 was obvious to you, you wouldn't think so hard. So just pick up a 660Ti already, save $80-100 and reinvest it later when you sell the 660Ti and pick up a GTX770 or GTX870 in 2014. If you are going to use FXAA or TXAA, there is not much to it between the 660Ti and the 670. If you are going to use MSAA, then you wouldn't even be considering the 660Ti in the first place.

can i ask you something ? on my cpu .... i7 3770 .... will i handle GTX 770 ? if it will be a bit faster then GTX 680 but sure below GTX 690

or will i even handle GTX 870 maxwell with integrated cpu if it will be same pefromace as gtx 690 ??

Your CPU will handle all the way up to GTX 11190, due in 2019.

I have no idea how fast GTX770 will be. Maybe it'll be a rebranded GTX680? Maybe something else. Maybe you can skip GTX700 family entirely and wait until GTX800 series. Your CPU will be just fine. It's one of the fastest CPUs around right now. If you overclock the 3770K to 4.5ghz, I am willing to bet it'll last until GTX900 series, maybe more. The current demands on CPUs in games are not that extreme. This may change with next generation consoles arriving if developers starting using even more cores and putting more complex physics/AI effects into games. Right now, most games are GPU limited and I have a feeling will become even more GPU limited since DX11 is going to take off after 2014 with next generation consoles. 3770K is probably going to outlast 2-3 GPU upgrades, easy.

it's not K version ... so it can boost up to 3.9 u know ... not more so it will do fine anyway with 3.9 GHZ ?

i mean will it handle MAXWELL gpus .... cause they will have own cpus and will help mine as i know

if so .. my plan is to get gtx 660 TI and then jump to 800 series ... to GTX 870 or GTX 880 .....

100% agree with you that games are now mostly GPU demanding ....

if money is a issue why would you get a non K cpu , seems foolish to cripple a game system at stock clock's. so much for bang for the buck for the cpu.

Just when I think you might be on the right track with your posts here you open yet another thread that you have beaten to death and once again Been rude to yet another member. Your smileys don't make it better.

If money is no object to you then go with the 680 if the $100 matters go with the 670, if you want even cheaper go with the 660ti. I choose the 670 and have no regrets.

You realize that Intel offers an awesome deal on a pretty much no questions asked warranty? It's $25 bucks and you can overclock the piss outta your cup with no worries.

Anyway, back on topic, as you have the $, and i7 IB CPU, get the 670 FTW or other 670 on 680 PCB cards. Or, depending on price in your country, look at 7950/7970 cards. Either will be much better than 660ti, which basically everyone was disappointed in.
