better 3d2001 in w2k then xp?

i thought that xp was supposed to be a better gaming system then w2k. however, i reinstalled w2k after issues with xp and i find that my score jumped 400 points and i haven't even brought my card to the speed i was running in xp. anyone else experience this?

I think the XP being better for gaming talk is mostly compatability with more games, not necessarily performance.

I would suspect that performance issues will be correct with driver updates soon.

yeah, xp drivers are slower than win2k. Just like the 9x drivers use to be faster than win2k (maybe still?)
