beta vista dual boot

I would like to take off vista beta and use that partition for yet another try at ubantu. Can I do this without hooping my startup of xp?

I'm posting "vista uninstall" solution for the 3rd time

1. Boot your computer in to Windows XP.
2. Go to ?Start? and ?Run?. Type in ?e:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force? (without quotes, and replacing e: with the drive letter of your Vista DVD).
3. Restart the computer, and you will notice the boot selection menu is gone.
4. Format the partition/drive where you had Vista installed.
5. Remove two files (Boot.BAK & Bootsect.BAK) on your XP drive?s root folder (C, these were backup files of your previous bootloader, now no longer useful.

make sure your Vista DVD has this file "bootsect.exe". Use the above mentioned procedure to get rid of Vista Boot Manager

you can just edit the boot.ini and get rid of that screen and delete the vista files

dunno why you would need to format or what the command does but i have always edited the boot.ini

by that screen i mean the boot screen at start up

you cannot get rid of Vista Boot Manager by editing boot.ini

I used a vista 32bit beta, rather that 64bit beta and worked like a charm in xp!! Thanks again - I can now use my second hd to fail yet again at ubuntu. One of these times I will get it. :beer:

edit: should at least spell ubuntu properly.
