We all have foods that simply trigger a "binge" of that particular food. What are yours?

Some of the foods for me are sweet citrus, such as clemntines, cara cara, and sometimes even the common navel orange.
Potato chips? Last time I ate them, yes they do.
Watermelon also, but the fear of soiling my shirt again has put a limit on how much I can consume.
Grapes.

Seems like there is a trend of starchy and sugary foods for me.

smoked almonds
pistachios

There are on almost every article's list of good foods. I start out fine but over time my serving size goes up to the point where the fat content becomes a liability.

Wish I had more willpower

All the various nuts/seeds. I am chewing through a bag of these sunflower seeds a day.

Trader Joe's has a vastly superior corn chip that kicks fritos off the stage. They come in a smaller bag THAT MUST BE CONSUMED!
My only solution is to never darken their door.

Just about any snack food. Doesn't matter how big the package is, it's a single serving size. That's why I don't buy stuff like that often.

Any crunchy and salty foods like chips or crackers. I could eat an entire package of Pringles if I didn't stop myself. They put just enough salt and flavor on those types of foods o you keep reaching for more. Since I have anxiety the crunch of those types of foods is very soothing. It's hard for your mind to have run away thoughts with all that crunching going on.

Oh, and if you ever get a chance try some Wonderful Pistachios Sweet Chili Flavor.

Ice cream. :(

Haagen-Daz is my favorite brand overall but I'm flexible.... if there's some in my freezer sooner or later I'll be eating it!

As mentioned the only effective strategy is not buying any. (sucks)

these days it's mixed nuts with various tasty seasonings, and trail mix.

So now I only buy a 27 oz pack twice a month. Pack is usually gone in a day or two.

To facilitate self-control: don't sit down with the whole bag/jar; also after finishing your serving, rinse your mouth out to erase the delicious aftertaste and stop the salivating (a.k.a. palate cleanse)

I don't agree. Pringles are cheapasses who have really cut back on the flavoring. The Sour cream 'n Onion where you'd get the little chive flakes all over and now they don't even have the chive flakes at all. The Honey Mustard ones were good but the flavor used to be so strong that you'd stop eating after like 1/5 of the can. Now its like you have to eat the whole can to get that level of flavor burnout.

The similar Lay's chips are better in like every way now. Pringles sucks ass now.

To be fair I don't think I've had pringles in 4 1/2 years unless I ate some at my sister's house. I mostly bought the plain ones anyways so I wouldn't know if they skimped on ingredients. I did notice they super sized the can a good while ago and raised the price from $1.00 to $1.50. Then they got sneaky and reduced the size of the can to normal sized but kept the $1.50 price.

That's why I don't buy them anymore. I used to buy them in bulk in Chinatown and roast them, make peanut butter in my blender or eat whole, but no more. Not good for controlling weight and I've burned out a few blenders making nut butters. No more!

Presently, I don't have any binge foods. Well, I do, but I am usually quite disciplined with them. I have limits I've set, such as 1.6-1.7 ounce multi-grain chips, one small piece of chocolate, 1oz. roast nuts. Occasionally I will eat French vanilla ice cream that sits in my freezer in a 1/2 gallon container (Trader Joe's) since I think before the pandemic, but on the rare occasion I dip into it, I weigh out 0.85oz.
