That's what you get for maintening a computer system that does not crash often enough... You gotta learn that the art of keeping your IT job is controlling exactly when and how computers fail, to keep them failing often enough to keep you looking busy, and you must know how to repair the failure before it happens so you look uber in front of your boss.

We do all the internal cabling. If they installed cameras, we'd know about it 😛

They already know we goof off. The pics are actually for a presentation for our dept director, dunno if she's seen em yet . . .
 
Derrick looks like an absolute dumbass. I love it!!

I remember one time and and some other IT people actually got together and enacted out the indiana jones schene with a roll of cat5 cablin as his whip and a cart with a bunch of servers loaded on it as the boulder. Floppies were thrown at the runner instead of darts...

We actually got approved for a campus alcohol license couple years ago for one of our famous BBQs. Limit was one beer per person per hour, so we all brought in the biggest beers we could find.

After our incredible programming accomplishments that day, we never got approved for a campus alcohol license ever again.
 
what kind of bike do you run?

i like the fact that you have full gear, most people around here just jeans, jacket, helmet.

I've been trying to get them to hire a female for years. They made me student supervisor so my plan was to hire hot girl students to work for me, but stupid budget got cut and I ended up firing students instead of hiring them.
