Hi,

Yes it appears bestbuy's price for the visiontek 4600 is indeed $99.

So they could have done the right thing and given us the card at $129 and still have made money. Instead they give us a $30 bone.

I'm sitting on my until we see what happens.

Note: on the next page is a scan without the red mspaint highlights

Someone photoshopped that one. I think in the same thread someone photoshopped one for 999 dollars as well. The real one said 179 I think, check the thread I created yesterday on this for the real link

What evidence do you have that is was photoshopped? I've downloaded it and examined it and I dont see anything out of line. Sharpness, artifacts, fonts, shading, all is consistent from what I can tell. It its fake they did an extremely good job. Either that or the whole thing is faked.

Nah, there's no way that thing cost $99 to BestBuy. If so, a BestBuy employee with their discount can probably get it for a hundred something dollars.

My bad. Someone in hardforums had photoshopped the pricetag that was on the shelf to reflect 99 dollars. Thought this was the same one..

but really, I thought the markup on hardware was marginal. 400% markup seems really high
