Generally you can find some deals every so often for 100 pack of these for $12-15 AR when the rebate deals are going on but, other than that this is still a decent deal.

I may have to pick one up.

If someone buys this can they please stick a disc in and run a prog such as imgburn or dvdinfo or something that shows the dye manufacturer please. :p

Yeah, if these are MCC media then I'll consider buying a few packs. Otherwise, I'll stick with Taiyo Yuden. Verbatim is usually good but keep in mind the quality can vary depending on where it's made.

I just picked up my DVD-R pack from BB, they are confirmed MCC media.

Manufacturer ID: MCC 03RG20

It even says so on the plastic spindle packaging. So yeah these are good quality discs. Woot.

DVD+R

24X and 20X write speeds available???
Since only 16X shows on Verbatim labels, I assume you saw that noted in some software. Please advise as to which one.

Verb MIT 16X+R will burn 20X in say the current Pioneer 216. 24X is new to me.
:)

Where did you buy these?
Does it say MIC MII MIT or MIS on the label info (China India Taiwan Singapore)?
I'll need a screenie on this

FWIW:
Most official Verb B&M US vendors (Besybuy, OfficeMax) offer MIT
Verbatim is a Mistubishi Chem Corp subsidiary
Be careful on the vinyls - some are MII, and they do look really cool. Wish they had them for DVD (assuming it doesnt screw up the writes)
Its better to get older pale purple/ faint purple label MIT than later dark blue/light blue
And the Verb 16X +R's generally NOW have better burns than the -R.
Anytime I buy VB I go to store to see where was made - online could be anything.
NE was shipping some MII for a while, at least thats what some comments said.

Then theres the fakes - (not at brick and morter)

ZD 8076 +R, ZD9906 -R (or something numerically close) tiny letters on hub usually means O.K.

Ah yes, DVDFab with the improved VSO burn engine - top DVD copy sw, and the one I use also.
Thats funny - I never really noticed the 24X before.
O.K., the burn softwares CAN do it.
But methinks 24X is for the future (perhaps)
I can remember when they said 16X was impossible.
They said the disc would blow up in the burner.
But they got around that with clever burn strategies.
There are three keys:
The burner/firmware strategy must be able to do it
The dye must be able to do it.
The software must be able to do it (reliably)
Thnx for answer
:)

Edit:
Hmmm. Just noticed DVDFab is offering a discount coupon until Nov 30
$40 or $50 normally
FAB-NOB-OFF (code)
