Bestbuy question

Hey, I was looking at the BFG 6800 GT and I did the avaliable store thing, all of the best buys that I know of close to me were listed there, and it said this BFG 6800GT OC is avaliable at theese bestbuy sites or something like that, is that true? Does that mean that they will selll them there or it's in stock there?

only one way to find out.... how much did they have them for? you can also check out the deals forum, they have some good stuff sometimes (gt's for $340)

if they arnt in stock they'll prolly reseve one for you when they come in

It's been my experience that the Best Buy thing is nothing more than a store locator. It is not a "real-time inventory" thing. Just call the stores listed and ask about the product. I'd be surprised if any of them had a GT OC or an Ultra OC.

Well, when I bought my hard drive, it changed when the drives were in stock and being sold.

Be careful if you like to try before you buy - they will hit you with a 15% restock charge if you change your mind.

I work at BB and our store has yet to receive any. I don't know any store really that have them yet.

I would highly suggest you call in to check for availability. The store locater on bestbuy.com isn't very accurate.

BB usually has very limited stock on higher end stuff in their stores (if at all). Its been my experience that BB has never carried anything that I look for. Thats why I go to either newegg or J and R here in NYC. I only go to retailers when there is a good rebate or something as such.

Heh you guys are right, they don't have 6800's they don't even have 5900's , they have 5950's though, i'm gonna check the other stores next week. Thanks guys.
