BestBuy opening in Norwalk, CT

Just drove by the building The Wiz used to be located in (on my way to CompUSA) and noticed a huge BestBuy banner on the building... now Norwalk just needs a mall and an Arby's and ill have my pick between going to Milford and going to Norwalk

It's nice having more options for local stores but BestBuy is not one of my personal favorite. Don't get me wrong, I'll take advantage of any hot deals they have and I'm glad we have BestBuy's around us to give more options for deals but if a product was the same price in BestBuy or in some other local store I would probably go to the other store.

A couple weeks ago when the Fuji DVD+R media was on sale they had it for $68 - $8 MIR. There was one that was opened and resealed (I think 1 DVD+R was missing also) and it was "on sale" for $89 instead of their normal $99. I brought it up to them and asked if they could lower the price since you could get a brand new one out the door for $68 and they said that the store price was $89 and they couldn't go any lower than that or they would be losing money (even though it was an open box item and the new ones were $20 less).. I asked the guy how that made sense and he just kept repeating "the store price is $89 and we won't lower it because we would be losing money"... Just another example on how BB sucks...

nope, i live in fairfield... but i try to get to either norwalk or milford/orange every weekend to check out all the hot deals.

a best buy is also opening in waterford on route 85.

My personal exporience with best buy has been rought with disappointment. Best Buy clearly lags behind most other retailers in terms of price and cutomer service. Overall, I continue to have extremely poor experiences at Best Buy, and my advise to anyone is that they ignore that place.
