BestBuy messed up some pricing...

My local BestBuy had some Samsung SyncMaster 512N's for sale for $279.. right as I came in, they were changing the price on them to $169 after rebates, because they had too many and they didn't sell well... i grabbed one, because i was looking for a 15" lcd for my sister. At the register, it rang up as $279, so i complained - they called a manager over, and then a tech associate over... and marked the price down to $169, just like it said. But they forgot about the rebates... so i paid ~$180 out the door (tax), and I have $80 worth of MIR for it >_<

you know whats even worse? i work at circuit city. on employee cost, the cheapest 15" lcd is $180.



CLIFF NOTES:
-Reg price for samsung 15" $279
-Clearanced to $169 after MIR
-cashier marks it down to $169 before MIR
-turns into $90 after MIR

and its for my sister. she wanted an lcd that small for her college dorm desk.


*edit* i would be shocked if it is national. It seems they just marked it down in-store because they had like.. 10 they couldnt sell. $169 after MIR national seems possible, though.

17"s are not much bigger but higher res for sure. good price though
