BestBuy just gained a point with me. It's good to see a vendor stand behind their service. I didn't order the Bond set, but I'll certainly consider them for other shopping because of this show of integrity. Meanwhile, TC Comp & Egghead can hold their breath waiting to see ANY of my money again, no matter how good the deal is.

The first time I read this I thought is was a cancellation notice, but I guess I skipped this line
We will honor the online advertised price of $39.99 for one box set per customer.
I respect BestBuy.com for doing this and I plan to give them future business. Now if only they would get rid of that stupid $2.00 order fee :)

I was quite pleased to get the same e-mail... They will keep my business! As for the $2.00 fee, I agree it is lame, but I just pick up my orders at the store, which saves shipping altogether, including the $2.00 fee. This may or may not be a good deal depending on how close you are to a B&M store, but it works for me.

i didn't think bestbuy would honor this misprice, so i didn't bother to order it online.
when i read this thread, i went back to bestbuy to have a better look at the product description.. i then noticed that my shopping cart had one item for $39.99.. (from my previous visit days ago) i quickly placed my order for the dvd set. i was charged 44.xx at checkout.

i hope i get the email confirmation too.

Definitely cool of BestBuy to honor the deal...Wish I could say the same for Onsale/Egghead...I think some of my fellow Anandtech forum members remember that crap...:)

Gravesend - LOL... could work out for you. Cookies and carts can do wonders.

I do want to thank the original poster of this deal - I had just ordered the set from Amazon w/10 GC the night before for around $90. I cancelled that order and placed one (1) order at bestbuy.com in case it was for real - turns out it wasn't but they are going to honor the offer price. THANKS, Lark
