no mechanical addressing, huh? darn...what about an inkjet printer with an envelop slot and a cursive font....hmm.

Nope, will not work.

Has anyone tried?

For the number of requests they must get, how closely are they going to look at the envelopes? Print in dark blue in a font that looks like handwriting and you'll never know from a quick glance. Having their people look closely will make their labor costs much higher.

I don't know about anywhere else, but in Delaware the BestBuy Bucks are only on premium chicken sandwiches. They are <b>not on the large fries[/b].

Well I hope the used some Vaseline or at least said thank you...
One (1) Chance Piece is attached to specially-marked Crispy Premium Chicken Sandwich boxes, Grilled Premium Chicken Sandwich boxes and 6 oz. Large Fry Cartons in the United States.

But see my post from a few days ago. Here they were still using the old Sand. boxes w/o Chance pieces (the ones with BB Bucks) on them.

Oh and btw, just how much McD's do you eat that you know about every one in Delaware?? :D

I was thinking along the lines of hand writing it on a piece of paper, scan it into a computer and then print that on the envelope directly... it might work.

That's why I was posting it... others were asking about which are the winning pieces... I know my luck, so these are the winning pieces for those blocks. Someone has suggested it was the most expensive property of the group, which I believe is the last one in the block. That doesn't appear to be the case this time around.

Egay auction for boardwalk

"Boardwalk" doesn't look right. And since he never claims it's a Boardwalk Monolopoly/McDonalds game piece, I suspect you get the Boardwalk card from a Monopoly game (as in the box you buy at Walmart or whereever).

All of my game pieces have a background text saying "©2005 McDonalds Corporation" at an angle, and the color bar does NOT go all the way across the piece and is enclosed in a black box. Looking at it more... it looks like he cut boardwalk off one of the "game boards" that McD's hands out.

Haha! Brilliant! It's real but it's just not the game piece. It's cut out from the game board instead. Of course nowhere does he say it is the game piece, so it's a legit auction.

I remember many years ago. Went to Mcdonald with family twice a week. We got like 16 of those monopoly tickets every visit. We did that for a whole month and at the end we were missing one piece for every color. So yeah is definitely a scam. I never heard of anyone winning.

Four week promotion * 32 Monopoly tickets per week = 128 tickets.

In past years, with the odds in the hundreds of thousands, and millions to one, to win a significant prize, you're telling us it's definitely a scam because you didn't win with your measly 128 chances?

Wow, just wow.

PORKCHOP SANDWICHES! :D
Best Buy are major ripoff.. Why not just buy online and save? McD sucks too, they're just a bunch of corp trying to look for ways to make more money and make us fatter so their pharmaseutical would flourish.

Bunches have asked him about it. He's flat out telling people that it's not the game piece.Yet the bidding is up to $20K+

Edit well it WAS over $20K... it['s gone. ebay removed the item.

How to get Best Buy Bucks, and make a profit at it.

Last time McDonalds did this contest, I read the rules and got to thinking. By requesting game pieces by mail, I could actually come out ahead with best buy bucks. Here is how it would break down...

Example: 100 requests for game pieces. (you can make requests as often as you like, but NO mechanical means can be used to address the enveloples, do it by hand) Each request will net you One (1) Game Piece and One (1) Chance Piece. You WILL get either a $1 or $3 BB Buck and you might win something else with the other piece (food, other prize, or nothing)

Given that you have a 1 in 3 chance of getting a $3 BB buck, here is what you can expect to get back.

Worst Case: $100 BB Bucks
Best Case: $300 BB Bucks
Probable Case Based on Odds in Rules: $165 BB Bucks

Cost to send 100 submissions:
Number 6 envelopes can be had from many drug stores on sale for 300 for $1. Add tax and you have $1.08. You will need 200 envelopes, as you need one to send in and one that they will send back. Total Cost: $0.72

Stamps: You will need 200 stamps. $0.37 each
Total Cost: $74.00

Complete COST: $74.72
So, using the probable outcome I discussed above. You will most likely gross $165 BB Bucks, subtract your costs ($74.72), which leaves you with $90.28.

In other words, you are most likely going to save 45.284% on your purchase at BB.
(74.72/165=0.45284)

Now this is assuming your time is free, which it may or may not be. Consider this, if you only fill out the senders field (the TO field).
Writing the McDonnalds address took me about 45secs. Writing my address took about 25 secs. Total, 70 secs times 100 entires equals 1hr and 57 minutes. Given the figures above, you are making about $45 an hour doing this. Not bad!

Keep in mind, the max amount of BB Bucks that can be redeemed per day (and therefore per purchase) is $300. So, the sweet spot for submissions would be no more than 182 requests.

Finally, this is not meant to be a waste of time. I would rather not spend more money and eat a ton of unhealthy food in order to win something in this contest. Before you get that 100 roll of stamps, you better get your mind set on what you want to spend it on at Best Buy and ask yourself these questions...
1. Is it excluded by the rules for purchase with BB Bucks?
2. Can I get it for 45% off elsewhere?
3. Am I ready to spend 2 hours writing on envelopes?

Also, it is more fun finding loopholes in the game that will benefit you. I am going to send one request and see what I get back. If that works, then I guess I will gear up for the big one.
:D

Read up on the rules before attemping:
http://mcdstaging.promotions.com/monopoly/rules.html

Wouldn't you be saving 54.71% not 45.28%?

My reasoning is that let's say you have the avg of $165 BB bux. And yes it cost $74.72.

Well, you can buy $165 worth of crap for $74.72. So take the diff. of $165 and $74.72 and you get $90.28. That is how much you are saving.

$90.28/$165 = 54.71%.

It's like if you go to BB w/o any coupons and see a TV you want for $200 flat. The salesrep then goes "oh I feel nice, I'm knocking off $20" That means you just saved $20 or 10%. You got $200 of items for $180. So $20/200 = 10%.

So regarding McDs, this is good, you're actually saving on avg 54% vs 45%

Obviously you have a lot of trouble reading. In the official rules:

"Best Buy Bucks may be combined and the cumulative total will be subtracted from total purchase amount of merchandise before the calculation of sales and similar taxes."

So if you buy a $310 item and use $300 in BB Bucks, you pay tax on $10, not on $310.

No. Once you use the code online or present the coupon in a retail store it is removed from the system and marked.
