Best Zalman cooling solution?

To cool my 9700pro is the Zalman ZM80C - HP with the zalman fan , a better solution than the ZM80A - HP with the
Zalman FB123. The second solution is a bit cheaper, but that is not really the point. I just want something quiet that works well. Also I think the stock fan is starting to go, as it is noisier lately. I have an Antec sonota case, and things can run a little hot. Thanks

Either way should cool about the same. You'd probably be able to run a little quieter with the FB123 option because you can put your own fan on the bracket instead of having to use the Zalman fan. A Panaflo L1A running at 5 volts or 7 volts will be plenty of cooling and will be quieter than the Zalman fan. You could even put a 92mm or 120mm fan on that FB123 and use it to cool your NB and RAM a little. 2 or 3 for the price of one!.

I was thinking the same thing, that the FB123 route gives more flexibility. Thanks for the reply. I will order later today if no one posts any horror stories about the FB123.
