Best XP Tweaking Guide?

Is there an XP Tweak Guide out there for those who just installed the OS? In other words, is it easier to uninstall the "bloatware" before you start installing drivers, apps, etc, and is there a Guide that takes you through the steps of uninstalling that bloat and making XP more efficient right after the OS is installed?

My plan for installing XP:

Install XP on a brand-new, NTFS-formatted harddrive.
Install drivers.
Run Windows Update.
Use a Tweaking Guide to remove bloat.
Install other apps.

Also, is it best to install new hardware/drivers one-by-one after installing the OS, or should I install all the hardware, install the OS, and let XP handle it all?

If you were running the normal type of hardware (well-known video card, well-known sound card, non conflicting motherboard chipset) then i'd just leave in all the hardware and let XP take care of the things for which it has drivers. I'd install drivers one by one, reboot after reboot to have everything up to speed. So far it has worked flawlessly with my machine.
