Best WWII FPS?

I need to kill Nazis and the like. Not looking for modern, team or online action, just on my own in Europe or the Pacific. Played MOH and the sequel to death. Is there any other you'd recommend to slake my blood lust? TIA.

Call of Duty 2 was always my favorite. I remember playing through the campaign several times.

CoD 1 and 2 were both pretty good. I really liked 1 when it came out. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is decent, but its good for shooting nazi's.

Sniper Elite V2 is coming out next week, and there's a free demo on Steam. Put aside any current notions you have about "sniper games" and try it. It's ridiculously awesome.

i kept restarting the demo level just to keep killing the nazis in more and devious ways.

Definitely Call of Duty 1 and 2, they were great. And, much older of course, but I have to mention the original Medal of Honor (1999) on the PlayStation (story created by Steven Spielberg), that one was a blast.

I downloaded the demo...killed a guy by hitting his grenade on his belt with a bullet, it blew him up...

Got the Sniper Elite V2 demo dowloading now. Thanks. Interesting how COD and MOH have held up over time.

You mentioned killing Nazis, but also mention the Pacific theater, so perhaps Call of Duty: World at War? It has both.

Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood.

Call of Duty was fun when it was new, but the problem is, if you played one you've played them all. They're set pieces. Enemies spawn in a consistent, predictable manner, action is always triggered and scripted, and it's "Whizz-Bang-Wow!" the first few times you see it, but the gameplay is wholly unsatisfying as it's more like being on a set of a hollywood war movie than feeling like a real fight.

(I say this as someone who LOVED the first game and enjoyed the second, but grew tired of their formula quickly)
