Best & worst part of college?

yeah i had one of those!, also fee increases are teh sux. they raised our tuition 2 years a go and ou room last year, and for what! any way good parts, you get to take what intrests you for the most part and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEE

Best parts: Hanging with friends or a girlfriend.

Worst parts: Realizing that after college all the choices you make will stay with you all your life. Good or bad. Mostly bad.

best parts: doing well in classes, hanging out with friends
worst parts: the pressure to succeed, worrying about my future

good: meeting people, learning new things, growing up.

bad: emotional drama, losing friends, really bad professors.

also to he who said what you do in college will determine your life. i'd say outside of class i think it'll shape your life. i think what you do in class really wont make that much of a difference in the long run if your career field isnt something that requires post graduate work.

Pros: Having a plan and working towards a concrete goal, meeting different smart people, easy access to cultural events, more women than men, becoming an adult

Cons: Spending a lot of money on your education and sometimes you get bad professors and crappy service.

Worst: Frats, being broke

obvisously you weren't in one. I hated fraternities too when I was choosing my school. I was like, "What is wrong with these losers, can't they just get their own friends? but no, they have to pay for them, fvcking losers." I hated them so much that I ended up switching schools since I didn't want to go to a school that was 35% greek and instead switched to one that was only 11%. I also had signed an agreement for my dorm room with my best friend but went against and did end up switching schools before the school year. Needless to say, at the end of my first year I ended up joining one, and it was the best move I have ever made. Plus it gets you in with ALL the sorority chicks, which is a big plus.

I have friends in frats at LSU, McNeese State (where I graduated from), and some other schools. They even say they aren't anything special.

Frat people that i've encountered seem to be arrogant, cocky, and people I wouldn't want to be associated...

Worst part: The realization that if you screw up in college it follows you pretty much forever.

I disagree with screwing up in college. I was one of those that screwed up, dropped out and never went back. I managed just fine with a lot of hard work. You can make up for a bad college career.

I went to college, scewed up, worked for awhile, and now am back in and at the head of my class. Screwing up in college is not the end of the world, you just have to be persistent.

Best - Girls, Girls and did i mention Girls
Worst - Thinking wtf your gonna do after college.... :-(

Best: Friends, girls, good times.

Worst: College is an overhyped, expensive waste of time except for technical oriented degrees (which, at most, probably constitutes 20% of the college population).

Best: classes, exposure to an entirely other world of intellect.
Worst: Conformity of the college students around you (I come from a pretty zany, nonconformist town) and the price.
