I'm thinking of getting a wireless phone for the first time. Since there are so many wireless networks from which to pick, I'm kind of confused about the advantages/disadvantages of each. I'm located in South Carolina and only need local calling if that helps.

One of the specific questions I have about wireless phones is how easy is it to use the same phone on different networks if I decide to switch?

might want to add something about cell phone (or cellular) in the title.

I thought you were refering to 802.11b.

DoOLiE11, yeah Verizon is one of the ones I'm looking at, including Sprint PCS and SunCom. I like how Verizon covers 100% of my state.

Verizon owns substantial analog networks, so you can use them for free.

Sprint probably has the biggest digital coverage though.

I had Verizon/Airtouch for many years and hated it.
I switched to At&t and loved it in the beginning, but my service grew worse over a period of months.
Now my friends on At&t are switching over to Verizon, and I am thinking about it as well!

I don't think that there is a true leader in cell phone service, but there will be one that is better in your area, just ask your friends/or anyone on a phone for that matter and ask them who they have and if they are happy.

verizon had the highest come back rate. People who left verizon 80% would come back because the customers weren't satisified with other competition.
