ive been spoiled with my cheap Logitech cordless mouse, I cant go back to using a cord. that being said I need to upgrade to a gaming mouse, going to be using lightboost so I need 1000hz polling.and I need one with a charging station because I refuse to change batteries often (most 1000hz polling mice have like two days max on a charge) and I don't want to have to plug a cord into it every night. that being said I can only think of two razor mice that have those two abilities and one gigabyte, anyone use those or any other mouse that meets those two requirments want to tell me which is best or the pros and cons..

If you go to a second hand car dealer who deals in <$1000 cars and ask for a Lamborghini he is going to look at you blankly and fail to comprehend why you thought cheaper car dealership and Lamborghini went together.

So it is with gamer, true 1000hz and wireless. There isn't a single good wireless gamers mouse, and certainly none that manage 1000hz reliably (heck most struggle achieving decent connectivity at all).

if you're going corded, logitech g400 is one of the best gaming mouse out there right now, otherwise go with a deathadder 2013 if you prefer razer mice.

Why do you need 1000hz with Lightboost? I have a G9 corded and lightboost, noticed a slight improvement going from 200 to 250 but nothing after that.

Personally I would recommend one of the Zowie mice, they are about my favourite mice of the recent era. The Evo CL is a decent palm grip mouse and the Zowie AM or the smaller FK are great claw and finger tip grip mice. All of them wired and all with a flawless sensor, 1000hz (real) and good click action. G400s is also a palm grip mouse with flawless sensor (only the G400 V2 is any good the previous model was rubbish). There are few other models here and there, the Razor deathadder 3.5G is also a flawless sensor but nothing else they do today is any good.

I have been using a Logitech 700s for the last month and I really like it. I also use a G9x but I now prefer the 700s.

The 700s can be used with the cord or without it. When the cord is plugged in, it powers the mouse and charges the single AA battery.

I do not have a clue if it meets your polling criterion.

Sigh, another wireless thread full of misinformation. I haven't seen this many naive people since trying to explain the benefits of 100Hz+ displays before the 2233RZ pushed them into the mainstream. The few of us arguing the merits of higher refresh rate were simply overwhelmed by the masses on mainstream displays who called us retarded for imagining the human eye could see above 60Hz. While I know it seems an oxymoron arguing on the "lower performance" end of the spectrum, there is a reason my Zowie AM is boxed:

The wireless mouse is simply superior in everything but looks and weight. I can see how weight can be a factor for some, but for those who don't mind, the sensor just outclasses the "flawless" Zowie. There is no perceivable delay for being wireless, and I bitch and moan when my minimum framerates fall below 120. Alternate frame rendering is absolutely out of the question, so I have to roll my eyes when those on SLI are bashing wireless mice.

The Ouroboros. It's the first mouse I've ever had that I was completely satisfied on day one. By no stretch is it perfect. It is a little heavy compared to the AM and the myriad of mice I've used before that, and I would have redesigned the connecting rails in a way which makes it possible to keep the mouse without the back on. A lot of people seem to have driver problems and whatnot (people actually use DPI switching lol?) and it is completely unimaginable to dock the mouse impaired. The sensor? Amazing. The grip? Stellar (for me).

It looks so stupid. I have to hide it when people come over.

people actually use DPI switching lol?

I do, because I have it properly configured, because I spend time making sure I work with things I pay for to the best of their capabilities and to the full extent of my needs.

I've been really happy with my Mamba 2012 after gaming on corded mice for years. No perceivable lag, excellent range, battery lasts a long time, and the shape is very comfortable. Another nice thing is you can run in corded or cordless mode.

Previous mice:

Razer Diamondback
Logitech MX1100
Roccat Kone+

I hate my Mamba; worst mouse I ever owned. Phantom clicks, double clicks, changes the dpi by itself, WORST software ever, and barely can hold a charge for three hours after a year.

But, the fit of the Mamba blows away the G700 which is thin and humped compared to the Mamba's spread L and R buttons.

The G700 blows away the Mamba for everything else though, and uses regular rechargeable batteries. If my G700 dies, it takes all of 20 seconds to change the batteries, but I rarely have to do that, because I put fresh ones in each day, and stick the old batteries back into the charger.

Wireless mice these days are just as good if not better than wired. I can't count the number of times I died when I played competitively when my mouse cord got caught on something...
