one of my kids just got a dell wireless combo for his laptop, and now the others want 'em, too... the dell stuff seems pretty pricy, and i've seem some logitech stuff at overstock and offbrand stuff at svc, but was wondering what folks' experience was with different setups... the dell thing seems to work pretty well...

I love my Logitech stuff, can't fault it! Also, with the Logitech stuff, you have lots of channels, so you could easily have a few sets within the same room. I've had 2 pairs of kb/mice, and also 2 other mice, all within 10ft of each other, and all of them talked to their relevent computers, no matter where in the room they were all used from :) Some other brands may only have a couple of channels, so if you have multiple ones in the same area they may intefere.

How about the Elite Duo for gaming? I'd really like to get away with that if there are no mouse problems for FPS games. It's going for $50 right now at Office Depot (or Max- one of the two).

I im using the elite duo for gaming, and its really not that good. To me it seems some fluidity in the movment of the mouse is lost with this wireless setup.
But I really do like my duo for everything else.
Go the MX700 bundle for gaming.

I would go with a corded mouse is you are to use it for gaming and buy the keyboard separately.

What about the Bluetooth mice?

I was thinking that if I went wireless, I would try to get Bluetooth in case I wanted to add other wireless devices. If I did that, would I be able to use the same receiver for all Bluetooth devices? How is Bluetooth performance wise? Should I just bag the idea and get the Logitech? I definitely like the extra mouse buttons it has compared to MS's Bluetooth. Page up/page down/switch windows sounds convenient!
