Best Wii games for the Wiife?

I just bought a Wii for my wife who has some sort of vendetta against "typical" video games (her brothers are both addicted to World of Warcraft, which she sees as a waste of time). She's played a Wii several times though and enjoys it, so we bought her one for Christmas and I'm trying to figure out what games she might enjoy.

She loves Mario Party 8 (because it's so interractive and she can play with others), and she also enjoyed Boom Blox alot, along with Wii sports. Surprisingly she did not seem to like Mario Kart much (as driving games are the only games she will play on my 360, and she's played 'em maybe three times in the past year).

Any other games that you think that she would get a kick out of? She doesn't like fiddling with a ton of buttons, but she probably won't want anything too mindless or basic.

Don't think she'll like snowboarding, and probably not the trauma center games...I've heard great things about World of Goo, exactly what do you do in the game?? What's it like? I just picked up 2000 points on my lunch break, and ordered a classic controller + another controller set off of Amazon.

Bowling she enjoys, but that's already on Wii Sports. Amazingly (to me) I think her favorite Sports game might be golf...I don't think she much cares for golf in real life.

What kind of game is that Okami game? They have it new at my local gamestop for like $23, which is way below retail. I saw it got really good revies, I've no clue what it is though.

It's kind of like Lemmings except with balls of Goo, building, and physics. The goal is to build objects and contraptions out of balls of Goo in order to get some balls of Goo to the other side of the level and down a pipe.

Hrm, sounds...gooey! There's a few games I want to download as it is (Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Zelda: Ocarina) already, I may have to get more points and give it a whirl.

Yay for 3000th post.

My wife enjoys Wii Play, Wii Fit, Sports (of course) & Wii Music, which is her new favorite. She will play Mario Cart with me on occasion, but it really isn't her favorite.

Party games similar to Mario Party but with wacky humor and fart and butt jokes. For example, the latest Raving Rabbids game has a minigame where you steer a cow down a hill with your butt on the Wii Fit board.

As much as I like de Blob, it felt traditional and there are some frustrating parts. But its overall atmosphere and music is a definite good choice.

Adding to your list, I would throw in
DDR Hottest Party 2
Elebits
We Cheer (add wrist weights to make it a makeshift decent exercise game, be sure not to add too much or overexert yourself of weights, risking shoulder injuries)
Zack and Wiki

Edit: Didn't realize you mentioned Trama Center already and the fact she doesn't really enjoy racing games. Boom Blox is a great choice too and glad she liked it. There is a possible sequel for it as well.

I checked on craigslist and a local guy had 2 2000 point cards for $15/each, so I nabbed 'em both. So, we downloaded World of Goo, she flipping loves it. Although she's being destroyed by the earling "spinning" level.

And her younger brother is in town and is going to buy her Boom Blox for Christmas.

The only game my wife enjoyed is the one that came with the cross bow. Just yesterday she finished getting platinum in all the levels. Though it's a pretty basic game.

So far the wife loves the following.

Wii Bowling on the Wii Sports Disc
Samba De Amigo
Wii Fit
DDR
Outdoor Games
Mario Kart
Sega Bass Fishing -- I know it sucks and is a direct port from old Dreamcast days but she loves it

Greg

We have yet to get to some of the other games we have (Mario Galaxy, Mario Party 8, etc)

Notice: Anyone looking for an entertaining game that your wives will like, try Boom Blox. We started playing it yesterday, she didn't want to stop (until our elbows/arms started hurting from throwing so much).
