Best Wifi notebook adapter?

The best bet is to have a wireless router in your home - a good one to at least "g" standard.Then get the laptop adapter that goes with it.

Public wi-fi spots are a crap shoot - most work with whatever you have. Distances vary with materials and structures in between your laptop and the wireless source.
