Best Widescreen LCD for around $250

Also, is it possible to force a widescreen monitor to play a game in standard res? I ask because I play a lot of BF2 which doesn't truly support widescreen. I guess it would put black bars on the sides or something??

If yes, I would consider getting a widescreen monitor

My family just got two Envision 19" widescreens from Fry's (They had a deal for like $150 each after rebate...but that may be gone now).

So far, they're working great.

Here's a direct link.

I guess I should elaborate on what I said. The monitors themselves aren't very pretty (very basic), but the picture quality is great. I've seen no ghosting, and it's very compatible with many resolutions (even though it complains about anything thats not in 1440x900, which it looks amazing in that resolution). The speakers on it suck, but who cares. It's also hard to plug in the DVI or VGA cables. We've had no dead pixels or anything. Great for gaming...

Yeah, all of that. It's great.

Yes, it's called 1:1 pixel mapping or using video card drivers.
