I really want to learn. I'm planning on taking some lessons soon, but I'm curious to know what some of the best websites are to help me along.

try
for your basic guitar chords
and
for the songs you want

always reference the guitar chords as you read the music, strum the chords as you remeber the song to sound as you sing along.

start with beatles songs since they're really easy and you should know how they're supposed to sound.

As always, I'd recommend getting a few professional lessons first, as fingering is the hardest thing to learn on a guitar. If you start off wrong, you're going to have problems down the road and have to relearn everything.
