Best webpage design software other than Dreamweaver and around $100?

I'm about to get started on my company's webpage pretty soon, and I'm looking for software suggestions.

Dreamweaver is great, but it's a little too much for what I need. The page is probably going to be something rather simple, but I ain't about to try to do it in Notepad.

How about Homesite?

Homesite isn't a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaver. It's a really nice HTML editor. You could try out Mozilla Composer. It comes with Mozilla and it's a decent WYSIWYG editor. Also, take a look at Adobe GoLive. I don't know how much it costs, but it's an alternative to Dreamweaver.

It is the Mozilla Composer that has been heavily added to and modified under the GPL. There are Windows and Linux Binaries available now. Excellent program. . . Check it out.

WHOA. I've been waiting for this for a while. I kept checking the Mozilla Composer site but it didn't mention anything. Thanks!

The few important points are already stated... Homesite is a great editor, just not much of a WYSIWYG editor though it has preview abilities. Adobe GoLive would have to be the 2nd best, but knowing Adobe, it's not likely to cost $100 or less.

1st Page 2000 is free, but I thought it fell into the Homesite category. Is it really a WYSIWYG ?

Does your company have any Visual Studio .Net licenses?

if you want a WYSIWYG editor then go with dreamweaver, if you want a text editor then definetly go with Topstyle pro that editor has it all, try the topstyle trial version

in my opinion homesite is only half of what topstyle is

Cofeemaker/brewer forgot the exact name of it is good too. It has a simple interface and it's easy to use for beginners.

Macromedia has a $99 lite weight one called Contribute. Version 1 was great and I would have recommended it if only it allowed source viewing and editing which it didn't. So version 2 came out a few months ago...downloaded trial but couldn't test it out because I didn't want to setup a bogus website. Sadly it won't even let you edit until you give it valid ftp info...that's just ridiculous. Mozilla's NVU is looking great I think near the end of the year I may be able to switch to it.

I like Dreamweaver for many things including:
--import / export csv into tables
--sort tables by column / row
--format tables with alternating colors
--search/replace entire site recursively
