I'm looking to create a website for an online custom computer store, but I need to know what is the best web hosting solution. Of course, I'm looking for cheap. I did find one solution all free that has this included:

25 MB Storage (all I need)
3 GB Monthly Transfer (is that enough?)
Free Domain Name
Free Email Account

I've looked around and decided on a few options. cernax, made2own, e-rice. Any Opinions? How much monthly transfer do you need?

For a small online store, you won't need more than 1GB of bandwidth per month if you aren't putting videos or large files on it.

Remember, you get what you pay for so don't try to cheap out, this seems to be something where you'll be hosting a company's website. Look for a host that offers Raid 1 hard drive setups and Dual Xeon processors. The Raid 1 will ensure there is always an exact copy of the data held somewhere and the Dual Xeons usually show that the company is serious about what they're doing and not just throwing accounts onto a Pentium 4 setup that was initially designed for desktop usage.

i think they still have the free deal going on. 3 gig storage, 100 gig transfer. only bad thing is that the ftp access is some kind of community based one.. they're still working on being able to ftp into your own account.

5GB, 300 gigs/month bandwith, awesome control panel, only 7.77 a month.

Honestly i don't see how why anyone would use another hosting option unless you need more than 5GB or an MS server.

Cernax has a good reputation and as you can see is an active poster both on Anandtech and other forums.

I haven't heard of the other ones listed.

I personally use HostPC for the moment and have been relatively pleased with both service support and price.

Good Luck,
C
