hi...I'm looking to have a small site hosted in the future and I'm trying to figure out cost before I go any further. I'll need to have one or two databases hosted with about 10,000 items of inventory. I'd like to know details relating to the following:

technical support (phone, email, chat)
disk space
database support (mySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, etc.)
scripting support (PHP, Perl, etc.)
e-mail accounts (number)
server type (Windows, UNIX, etc.)
FTP accounts (number)
Bandwidth

any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

PS - not looking to put anything up right away, just seeing what is out there.
 
Your requirements are very vague and there are thousands of web hosts to choose from.

What's your budget? Remember you get what you pay for. Best and cheap do not belong together in the same sentence.

I would suggest searching the WHT web host offers forum, make a list of 10 companies you are interested in and then SEARCH for reviews.

SonataWeb.net gets my vote, they offer e-mail/helpdesk/IM chat support. Great servers, fast, great uptime and reliability. Best of all their prices really cannot be beat for the level of service they offer 🙂
