Best web cam setup?

I have an old web camera and an old headphone/mic setup. I use MSN Messenger. I have a lot of video chop/lag. The sound is good, but limiting with headphones.
What's the best setup you'd reccommend?

I live oveseas now, so this tech is really useful for keeping in touch back home.
 
I was looking for something higher than 640x480 but they're all similar.. nothing sort of better than that...
 
Microphones on headsets or by themselves will always be better than the microphones built into webcams.

If you want a high quality webcam checkout Logitech's QuickCam Fusion or QuickCam Orbit MP. Both are USB2.0 webcams and with an "optimal setup" you can get up to 30fps video. They both also come with headsets, though the webcams themselves feature a new sound filtering technology in their built in microphones.
